2018 Vision Beyond Sight Banquet

Date

Nov 2, 2018
06:00 PM until 09:00 PM

Description

Join us for an evening to benefit Outlook’s Enrichment Programs for the blind and visually impaired.

Our annual program and dinner is our largest fundraiser of the year, drawing the attendance of many of our community leaders and generous donors.

Event Program:

• Enjoy a gourmet meal and Dessert in the Dark.

• Meet some of Outlook Nebraska's visually impaired associates.

• Hear Coach Vera Jones, mother of a blind son, talk about winning against adversity.

• Celebrate Outlook Nebraska's award winners and nominees.

The event will feature Vera Jones, a Big Ten Network analyst, college basketball coach and single mother of a visually impaired son. She will share what being the mother of a blind son has taught her about vision. While Vera still enjoys a career broadcasting sports, she passionately pursues her purpose by empowering individuals and teams to "Play Through the Foul" of adversity and win in this game of life! Her empathic leadership approach has been aided by working on the school improvement committee of the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind. She is on a mission of fidelity to uplift people to overcome adversity with the power of faith, unity, perseverance and purpose.
