Doris Stevens: Omaha's Forgotten Suffrage Leader
Douglas County Historical Society hosts their monthly program, Second Sunday Series, on Sunday, February 11th at 2 p.m. at Historic Fort Omaha. The talk, "Doris Stevens: Omaha's Forgotten Suffrage Leader" will be presented by Sally Bisson-Best, J.D., Associate Professor at College of Saint Mary. Doris Stevens was born in Omaha in 1892 and graduated from high school in 1905. She was one of the most influential leaders in getting women the right to vote and worked internationally for women's equality. **Please RSVP as there is limited space**
