Description

Eddie Palmieri Afro-Caribbean Jazz Sextet
Eddie Palmieri Afro-Caribbean Jazz Sextet delivers an explosive blend of salsa and jazz. Palmieri, a renowned pianist, fuses the rhythms of his Puerto Rican heritage with the sounds of Thelonius Monk and Herbie Hancock. Palmieri’s parents emigrated from Puerto Rico to New York City in 1926. Born in Spanish Harlem and raised in the Bronx, he learned to play the piano at an early age. At 13, he joined his uncle’s orchestra, playing timbales. For more details about the production and tickets, please visit ticketomaha.com.
