The Omaha Conservatory of Music will be hosting the grand opening of the Annette and Paul Smith Center for the Performing Arts during it's 10th annual "Big Gig" fundraiser on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at its new location 3504 S. 108th St. Omaha, NE 68144 (lower level of the Westside Conference Center). The "Big Gift"-themed event will include dinner and performances by current Omaha Conservatory of Music students. The program features guest speaker, author Daniel Coyle. Mr. Coyle is the author of The Talent Code: how the right kinds of practice, coaching and motivation can enhance brain architecture and improve human performance in almost any field. He is a contributing editor at Outside magazine and has written for Sports Illustrated, The New York Times Magazine, and Play. He is speaking on " Excellence" and is being sponsored by Leo A Daly and Lueder Construction. |
