The Bergan Mercy Auxiliary was formed in 1958 at the old St. Catherine’s Hospital in South Omaha. In 1964 when Bergan opened it became Bergan Mercy Medical Center the Auxiliary came to Bergan Mercy. The founders were: Mrs. Natalie (Eugene) Brown, Mrs Rachael (Paul) Gallagher, Mrs Ruth (Theodore) Miller and Mrs Agnes (Daniel) Monen. In April, 2008 the Auxiliary celebrated its 50th Anniversary as an organization.
