Health Tips for a Healthy and Happy Holiday Season and a Head Start for the New Year

  • It is all about perspective - keep expectations realistic - you are unlikely to remember material gifts ten years from now, but you will remember how people treated you and vice versa.
  • When doing last minute or post holiday shopping, be considerate in the parking lot...
  • We are what we eat:
    • Eat before going to holiday events.
    • Take something healthy with you.
  • Drink Water.
  • Engage in some form of exercise every day.
    • It can be as simple as walking up and down stairs a few times.
  • Breathe deeply.
  • Take meditation seriously.
  • Practice self love by getting a massage, taking a scented shower, etc.
  • Look for Aunt Nelly's good qualities. Try a different perspective. Aunt Nelly won't change, but you will feel amazing.
  • Take the time to call someone who experienced a loss or might be alone this year.
  • Live every moment in a way that honors the fact that you might be crossing someone's path for the last time.
  • Write your new year's goals now. Why wait until New Years? Do it now! Make that a policy!
  • Make a daily list.
