Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus’ MAMMA MIA!, the smash hit musical based on the songs of ABBA, is coming back to Omaha for a fourth engagement, courtesy of Omaha Performing Arts and Broadway Across America. MAMMA MIA! will open Thursday, March 3rd and run through Sunday, March 6th at the Orpheum Theater.

UNMC's Dr. Zheng to meet with Chinese and U.S. presidents this week

Jialin Zheng, M.D., professor of pharmacology and experimental neurosciences and director of the Asia Pacific Rim Development Program (APRDP) at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, has been invited by the Chinese government to visit with the President of China, Jiantao Hu, during the Chinese leader's visit to Washington on Wednesday and Thursday.

Emerging epidemic of head, neck cancer is topic of Jan. 27 Lincoln Science Café

The emerging epidemic of head and neck cancer will be the topic of the next Science Cafe in Lincoln on January 27th from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., at red9, 9th and M streets. The speaker will be Robert Lindau, M.D., whose talk will be titled, “Head and Neck Cancer Is Not Just For Smokers Anymore.” The event is free and open to the public.
