Bird Watch at Wildlife Safari Park

Celebrate flight with feathered friends on June 12, 2010 at Wildlife Safari Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.! Learn about birds, design bird crafts or explore on your own to catch a glimpse of various ducks, geese and cranes.

 


 

Learn about the lifestyles of these feathered creatures and trek through swampy wetlands and grassy meadows to explore their habitat. Visitors will also get to create their own bird feeder and compare their wing span to Wildlife Safari Park birds on display. Educational activities will be taught by Wildlife Safari Park Naturalists and Omaha’s Zoo Education Department.

All activities will be held at the Wolf and Bear Canyon. Enrichment activities will be held at 11 a.m., 1:30, 2:30 and 3 p.m. The event is free with paid Wildlife Safari Park admission.

Wildlife Safari is operated by Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo® and is located off Nebraska’s I-80, Exit 426 near Strategic Air and Space Museum, Eugene T. Mahoney State Park and Quarry Oaks Golf Club. Open daily 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. April through October. Admission prices for Wildlife Safari are Child (3-11) $4, Adult (12 & over) $6, Senior (62 & over) $5. Omaha’s Zoo members receive $1 off admission.
