Anthony's Steakhouse
Anthony’s Steak House is synonymous for good beef. The giant prize steer poised on the restaurant’s roof announces this truth. It was named Omaha’s Best Steak House in 1999 but has been serving the public choice Prime Rib and aged steaks for 38 years in a casual but refined setting.
Anthony’s Steak House has a main dining room, a lounge and party room which can service crowds from 20 to 400 and is open for lunch and dinner. Most dishes on the lunch menu are also offered on the more extensive dinner menu. Appetizers range from the popular Omaha wings, featuring Anthony’s own spicy sauce, to shrimp cocktail and hot crab and artichoke dip and range between $3.50 and $9 in price. Lighter lunch salads, such as the California Cobb and Sante Fe Chicken, are joined by heartier salads, like the Teriyaki Steak, on the dinner menu.
Beef features prominently on both menus. The rib eye steak with a Kentucky bourbon sauce is popular, as is the prime rib dinner. Steaks are cut upon request and cooked to specification.
Anthony’s may be a steak house, but the menu nonetheless boasts a variety of seafood. Pecan salmon, fresh walleye and the ever changing “Catch of the Day” will satisfy the seafood lover. Main courses run from $8 for a sandwich or salad to $35 for steak.
The Ozone Lounge hosts live music- acoustic, jazz, Vegas revues, and nostalgia nights-is a sleek, contemporary setting. It offers a large selection of domestic and imported beers. An expansive scotch and vodka selection is also available. An abbreviated lunch and dinner menu affords patrons the opportunity to dine in a relaxed environment with live music.
Anthony’s, located at 7220 S. 72 Street, is open Monday through Thursday, 11:00 to 10:00 and Friday and Saturdays from 11:00 to 1:00.
