Brownell-Talbot will celebrate “Buried Treasure”

Brownell-Talbot will celebrate “Buried Treasure” at its 2010 Golden Gala on May 7. General Chairs are Karen Thompson Burkley and Sandy Wilson.

Wilson and Burkley are both active school volunteers, participating in the Brownell-Talbot Parents’ Association (BTPA), chairing events and activities for that organization. Burkley is a past president of both the BTPA and the School’s Alumni Association. Both have also volunteered numerous times to serve in various capacities for the Gala. The chairs chose the theme “Buried Treasure” because they believe that the School is one of Omaha’s treasures.

Honorary Chairs are Angenette and Bob Meaney, past parents of B-T alumni. Both have actively supported the School. Angenette Meaney served on the Brownell-Talbot Board of Trustees for several years.

Steering Committee chairs include: Advertising — Deanna Armstrong and Sarah Haskell; Arrangements — Sue Harding and Jan Vrana; Audio Visual — Ken Costello; Corporate Tables and Support — Bruce Simon; Decorations — Jenny Rich and Sandy Wilson; Display — Julie Lasto; Family Baskets — Leslie Allbery and Stacy Thompson; Great Gatherings —Kathy Emery and Debbie Wood; Live Auction —Susan Dennis; Parent Tables —Kathy Bartels; Silent Auction — Johanne Couture; Mailings — Mary Clarke; and Student Projects — Sandra Fossum.
