  • Candy House Funshop - Candy House Funshop, the museum's most popular workshop, is back again in December. Candy House Funshop is the perfect activity for children of all ages. Participants get a 15" house frame, frosting, and a large variety of candies and other sweets for decoration. Members pay only $25.00 for everything needed for you and your family to build a candy house. Non-members pay $30.00 which include two free admissions to the museum. Reservations are required. Walk-ins will be accommodated only if possible. Visit the museum Welcome Desk or call 402-477-4000 for reservations. Take home kits will be available for $25.00. These kits include everything needed to build your own Candy House at home.
     
  • Spend your winter break at the museum! The Lincoln Children's Museum is open every day during winter break except for Christmas Day (Saturday, Dec. 25) and New Years Day (Saturday, Jan. 1).
     
  • Holiday Art Projects All December long the museum's Artist Studio will feature holiday themed art activities. Children will have fun making snowflakes, Christmas trees, snowman, and more.
     
  • Make Believe Midnight - Lincoln's largest family New Year's Eve party is back for 2010. Make Believe Midnight allows families to celebrate the New Year and still make it home before bedtime. This year's party is bigger and better than ever! · Party favors · Glow sticks · Balloon drop with over 1,200 balloons · B107.3 Dance Zone · Bubble stomp · Appearances by Father Time and Baby New Year · New Year's ball drop at 8 p.m. There will be numerous activities and an opportunity to play on all three museum floors. At 8:00 p.m., party goers will welcome in the New Year with a greeting from Father Time, a countdown to the ball drop, and a balloon drop through all three floors. Advance tickets are required for Make Believe Midnight and may be purchased online at LincolnChildrensMuseum.org, at the museum, or by calling 402-477-4000. Museum members may purchase tickets for $7.00 (each), while non-member tickets are available for $12.00 (each). Tickets for children under the age of 1 are free. Make Believe Midnight tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
