Latino Center of the Midlands Scholarship Dinner

Education and Achievement Take Center Stage at Latino Center of the Midlands Scholarship Dinner

The Latino Center of the Midlands has been serving Omaha’s Hispanic community since 1971. What began as a small community center focused on education has grown to a city-wide effort to not only educate, but help Omaha’s Latino population achieve.

On July 26, more than 250 people representing Omaha's corporate and private community will gather for a dinner and program to support the Latino Center of the Midlands. In addition to raising money for the organization, scholarships for higher education will be awarded to some local students. The event honorary chairs are Carol and Howard Hahn of Husch Blackwell Sanders Law Practice.

Funds raised at the event will help support programs at the Latino Center of the Midlands including English and computer classes in addition to college and career readiness resources. The Center also offers drivers’ education and immigration counseling and legal advice.
