The world’s most renowned soprano saxophone stylist, who also happens to be the biggest-selling instrumental musician and biggest-selling jazz musician of the modern era, treats Omaha to an holiday concert at the Orpheum Theater on Saturday, December 18, at 8:00 p.m.

Tickets are priced at $48. $58, $68 and $78, and may be purchased at Ticket Omaha, (1200 Douglas Street, Omaha), by phone at (402) 345-0606 or online at www.ticketomaha.com.  Tickets go on sale Friday, October 1, at 10:00 a.m.

Known for his natural ability to create and set different moods with his music, Kenny G also holds the record for the best selling holiday album in music history, Miracles. That recording sold over 13 million copies worldwide, capping global sales for the artist of more than 75 million albums, singles and videos over the past 25 years.

His new Heart and Soul recording for Concord Records captures the spirit and vibe of classic R&B that Kenny soaked up during his teen years at an inner-city Seattle high school.  Inspired by the likes of Earth, Wind & Fire and Grover Washington, Jr., Kenny G was only 17 when he landed his first professional gig with Barry White & his Love Unlimited Orchestra.  After college, he toured with jazz guitarist Jeff Lorber and began his solo career by catching the attention of legendary record label executive Clive Davis.

A landmark performance of his signature hit “Songbird” on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson launched Kenny G as a pop music superstar, and his Breathless recording became the top selling instrumental album ever.

Kenny G thus began a recording dynasty that has earned him Grammy, American Music, Soul Train, World Music and NAACP Image Awards as well as a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He has recorded with Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole and dozens of other jazz, pop and R&B legends, and was ranked by Golf Digest as the number one musician golfer.
