Stepper-ettes Spaghetti Dinner and Auction

Traveling Twirlers is sponsoring its 14th annual spaghetti dinner and silent auction on March 19th in support of Sue's Stepper-ettes National Competition Team. The all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner takes place from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at Stepper-ettes Studios, 10925 Harrison St.

Sue's Stepper-ettes baton and pom team performs locally, nationally and internationally. In November, more than 110 twirlers represented Nebraska in the 2010 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Each summer, team members take part in the National Baton Twirling Association (NBTA) competition at the University of Notre Dame.

The senior team is the reigning world twirling corps champion, having won the title at the world championships held in Ghent, Belgium. Closer to home, Stepper-ettes perform at numerous community events, including parades and sporting events. Funds from the dinner and auction help make these opportunities possible.

The public is invited to support the Stepper-ettes team by attending the spaghetti dinner and silent auction. Live entertainment and games also will be featured. More than 150 items, including themed baskets, gift certificates and much more, will be up for bid during the silent auction, which closes at 8:15. A dance party follows the dinner from 8 to 9 p.m.

Tickets for the dinner, which are $7 for adults and $5 for children, are available at the door.
