Architects of Air, a world-renowned visual experience, will serve as the awe-inspiring centerpiece of Sight & Sounds: An Unprecedented Week of Wonder, June 23 - 30, at Midtown Crossing's
Turner Park.

The Architects of Air “luminarium” is a monumental inflatable structure, a dazzling maze of tunnels and soaring domes that immerses visitors in the beauty of light and color. Each luminarium consists of panels of uniquely-produced plastic, fastened on-site to occupy nearly 11,000 square feet. An interplay of Gothic cathedrals and Islamic architecture, the structure is anchored and then, in just 20 minutes, inflated to its monumental size.

The luminarium will be open to the public June 23 through June 30 from noon to 6 p.m. daily. The stunning installation is wheelchair accessible and can be appreciated by visitors of all ages and abilities. (Children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult (1 adult for every 4 children)).

Tickets will be available for same day purchase at Midtown Crossing (location to be determined). Ticket price information includes: $5 per person, special rate for groups of 10 or more, children two and under are free. To schedule a large group, call 402-351-5954.

After reveling in luminarium's amazing sight, visitors can enjoy a chorus of beautiful sounds, a series of concerts and special performances in Turner Park. Midtown Crossing is pleased to be partnering with the Nebraska Arts Council to bring to Turner Park some of Greater Omaha’s radiant, most vibrant musical artists and performers. Performances are free and open to the public. “We are thrilled to be partnering with Midtown Crossing on such a remarkable week-long series,” said Suzanne Wise, executive director of the Nebraska Arts Council. “This is going to be a monumental
experience for all.”

Midtown Crossing is urban living redefined, the fastest-selling condominium community in Omaha history and one of ten projects around the world praised for embodying "the synergy of public/private partnerships" (Urban Land Magazine, 2010).

Spanning 15.5 acres in the heart of historic midtown Omaha, Midtown Crossing boasts 225,000-square-feet of unsurpassed dining, diversion and retail as well as nearly 500 condominium and apartment units, ample parking and green space.
