Shakespeare on the Silverscreen


 

Nebraska Shakespeare is again teaming up with Aksarben Cinema to bring you more films inspired by Shakespeare's life and plays.  Join us every Tuesday in February at 6:00 PM.  Come a bit earlier around 5:30 PM for some FREE appetizers from our partners at Aksarben Village before each show!   — Wohlners Deli on Febr 7th, Jones Bros. Cupcakes on Valentines Febr 14th, and Godfather's Pizza on Febr 21st.
 
Following each performance, Nebraska Shakespeare will host a discussion, featuring Associate Artistic Director, Vincent Carlson-Brown, and guest scholar, D. Scott Glasser, Chair of the University of Nebraska at Omaha's Department of Theatre and Instructor for UNO's course: Shakespeare on Film: The Art of Interpretation.  Topics will include the film, the history of its production, interesting trivia and the interpretation of Shakespeare's text.
