January was National Hot Tea month, and what better way to celebrate than with the Grand Opening of The Tea Smith’s newest store. It is located at 1118 Howard, in the heart of Omaha’s historic Old Market district. The Tea Smith celebrated their new store during the week of January 8th. The highlight of the week was the Grand Opening Open House on Tuesday January 10th. The official Ribbon Cutting ceremony was held at 11:00 am. Members of the Omaha Chamber of Commerce, city officials, friends, customers and all who made this exciting new venture a reality gathered to help celebrate. Other activities during the week included a Tea 101 class on Sunday January the 8th, and featured teas samplings every day .

The Tea Smith was founded in Omaha in 1994 and specializes in loose leaf teas and accessories from the premier tea producing regions all over the world.
